More than a year ago it seemed that History in the Making was well and truly done. I had packaged up most of the articles into a book called Into the Memory Hole. That book also included my writings about the 1960s (Na Seascaidí). (By the way, you can get Into the Memory Hole here for a song!)
But History in the Making wasn’t quite over, was it? Once I finished promoting my book I wrote one more piece, “Waiting for God (Oh…!)”. That article was followed by an allegorical series called “The Steward”, which has just ended.
Maybe History in the Making itself is now at an end - or perhaps it is just resting. Time will tell I guess. However, at present, my mind is on other things and I would like to tell you about one of them.
This week I am launching a new substack publication entitled Traitor to the Combine. It will be a blog-style newsletter i.e. mostly written articles, with the occasional video or podcast interview thrown in as well.
Traitor to the Combine is free to everyone, whether you subscribe to it or not. But please be aware that, if you would like to receive an email as soon as a new article appears on Traitor to the Combine, you will need to become a subscriber. Clicking on this link will give you more information. If you like what you read, you can subscribe straightaway. All you need is an email address.
Thank you.
Hi JP I was on traitor to the combine and it's excellent well done , But but there is nowhere to leave a comment or as you requested some suggestions of exiting the trap of the combine. Now not being tec savie ffs how do ye spell savie , I may have missed something. You know I think it could turn into a helpline for people wanting to opt out of the combine but don't have a qlue "ffs" how to go about it.
Great idea and as you know all ready I'm a big fan of thew Steward.
Maybe you could a new article on " God is waiting on us " if you get my drift.
You're quite right JP. We're all traitors to the Combine. I never thought of it like that. Looking forward to seeing how this goes
