I shook Dev's hand at my grandfather's funeral Thomas. My grandfather had been his friend and one of the helpers founding the Gaelic League

I'm a big fan of the original Gaelic League and its overall aims. It was hugely sucessful too.

My grandfather (in his latter years) was a teacher of the old Irish language and he went around the country teaching Gaelic music, poetry, dance, putting on plays and promoting our culture, all for nothing now so it seems. We were all taught through the medium of Irish

Fascinating speech by Thomas, the bit about the plane coming over Howth head gave me goosebumps, Ireland has that tendency to stir the emotions when coming back from being away, I've heard it said we should be encouraging and facilitating more diaspora to return

Only read a few chapters so far but loving the stories of JFK in Ireland and visiting the cinema in Dublin city.... Dublin in the rare old times ❤️

I saw the interview pop up on my email and when I got fed up in the workshop I came up to listen to some of it , on the way up the postman honked his horn as he was leaving so I went to see what he left and it was J P s books I ordered now that is synchronicity , now he left an ESB bill as well lol.

like everything assisted dying were did that come out of some ones idea just out of the eiter if we did'nt have the rulers who lord over us that and other stuff would not be happening
